Even though the Pima County Board of Supervisors is on record against mining in Davidson Canyon and in the Santa Rita Mountains, it will be up to Congress to change the Mining Law of 1872 to ensure changes are made in how this country mines its natural resources.     Opponents say Santa Rita 'scar' is sign of things to come

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The bladed area is visible along Scenic Highway 83 between Interstate Ten and Sonoita.

It's a square patch along a hillside, but there's a method to the madness.

The University of Arizona School of Natural Resources and the Environment has received a grant from Rosemont copper to see how well plants can be replaced in the Santa Ritas.
